Rashes after waxing are very common in some people. There are several reasons that cause the rashes after waxing. Some of them are ingrown hair, folliculitis, dead skin cells, etc. Generally, the rash will heal on its own after a few days. If you still have rashes after a long time, see your dermatologist.
Home remedies for rashes after waxing:
Cold compress
Apply an ice pack or clean cloth soaked in cold water to the rashes for 15 minutes. The redness will slowly go away and the rashes will also heal.
Lotions
Apply mild lotions or creams to the rashes to keep them cool. Avoid all products with a strong fragrance.
Aloe vera gel
You can also apply aloe vera gel to the affected area as it has soothing, cooling, and moisturizing properties. Any lotion or cream that contains aloe vera extract can also be used to reduce the appearance of rashes after waxing.
Essential oils
Essential oils are also good at reducing rashes. Mix 15-20 drops of lavender oil with 100 ml of marigold oil and apply it to the rashes. You can also add 20 drops of peppermint oil to alcohol-free gel or cream and apply it to the affected area.
