Often times, my patients have dealt with weight bias and learned that their weight gain is due to poor eating habits and a lack of exercise and willpower.

However, weight problems are much more complicated: there are biological changes in our brain and body that make us lose weight despite adopting the best diet and exercise programs.

Our team at the Beebe Center for Weight Loss Surgery offers a holistic approach to helping people improve their health and achieve sustainable weight loss through safe and effective weight loss surgery. We strongly believe in providing patients with a good system of support throughout their journey with a variety of activities including online and personal support groups.

My nursing philosophy has always been to put patients first. I believe that weight loss surgery is the best tool these days to provide people with a healthier way out of their weight related illnesses like fatigue, diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, joint pain, and heart disease.

What fulfills me most is to see that patients are able to do things that they were previously unable to do due to their weight-related limitations. At the Beebe Center for Weight Loss Surgery, we ensure that patients are treated in an unbiased environment and help them make the difficult decision to have surgery.
