SANTA ROSA (KGO) – Domestic workers in Sonoma County were shot dead at a COVID-19 vaccine drive-through event Wednesday.

The event was by appointment only. Safeway Pharmacists was a partner in the event in the parking lot of the Sonoma County Fairground in Santa Rosa.

“This vaccine is comforting,” said nurse Marissa Johnston.

The event was organized by Sonoma County in response to the slow nationwide adoption of the vaccine.
About 200 health care workers received their first doses of vaccine on Wednesday.

Another clinic is planned for Thursday, in addition to two other events next week.
