The Senior Nutrition Program is part of the Stanly County Senior Service. Lunch is served Monday to Friday at 11:30 a.m. for people aged 60 and over. The locations are in Albemarle (1816 E. Main St.), Locust (101 Park Dr.), Norwood (247 Turner St.) and Oakboro (626 Long St.). There is no charge for this service. Donations are accepted. All meals must be ordered at least one day in advance.

Call Joy Richardson at 704-986-3773. Nutrition sites are open daily to serve hot meals.

Each participant receives a meal a day. Frozen food boxes are no longer available. Recipients of home-delivered meals get their meals back daily, which are delivered by volunteers.

Seniors who typically attend the lunch spots can pick up a take-away meal at their local location Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am each day. Seniors cannot gather at the lunch locations. Lunch can only be picked up.
