While a deodorant or antiperspirant roll-on can be a temporary fix for your smelly forearms in the summer. Here are some home remedies that can help you get rid of the embarrassing smell of your armpits. It is also important to know what causes body odor in us. The bacteria that live on the surface of our skin break down proteins when we sweat, and certain acidic compounds are released, resulting in a pungent odor.

1. Use rock salt

Put some rock salt in a bucket of lukewarm water. Mix well until it dissolves, then shower. It has cleansing properties and also eliminates extra sweat.

2. Spray on apple cider vinegar

Take 1 cup of apple cider vinegar and mix it with half a cup of water. Put it in a spray bottle and use it on your armpits every night before going to sleep. Wash it off with lukewarm water in the morning.

3. Use potatoes

Cut thin slices of potato and rub them on your forearms for 30 minutes. Wash it off with water and your armpit odor will go away.

4. Apply baking powder with lemon

Take two tablespoons of baking soda and mix it with one tablespoon of lemon juice. Make a paste. Massage the mixture onto your armpits in a circular motion for 10 minutes. Wash off with water.

5. Use tomato juice

Mix tomato juice with lemon juice. Apply the mixture around your armpits for 10 minutes, then wash off with cold water.
