The Cure.fit app is now Cult.fit

Cure.fit recently acquired California-based fitness company Onyx to improve its home fitness offering and strengthen its international business model.

India’s popular fitness brand Cure.fit is renaming its app of the same name to Cult.fit, the company announced today. Cure.fit already operates its fitness centers in India under the name Cult.fit. The recent rebranding is in an effort to reach more users, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The new name will apply to all channels, including the app and social media accounts, starting today, May 11th. In particular, all fitness packages that are integrated into the former Cure.fit app will be renamed under the name Cult.fit for better coverage. The fitness company notes that Cultpass under this name offers several packing options at different prices and access options.

Naresh Krishnaswamy, Head of Growth and Marketing at Cult.fit, said of the development that the Cult.fit moniker has been “hugely popular” with its users in recent years. “With this transition, we want to cement that we want Cult.fit to be the only goal people think of when they have anything related to health and fitness on their mind. We hope our rebranding efforts continue in this direction and we are incredibly excited for this new phase, “added the Cult.fit executive in a statement. Cure.fit, which owns the Cult.fit chain across India remains a major player in cross-fitness, and the app was one of the first in the country to introduce e-fitness or tele-fitness services in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic The platform also introduced telemedicine services for full-body exams and personalized health plans.
