(St. Johnsbury) (February 19, 2021) – The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) recently announced the recipients of the AANP State Award for Excellence 2021. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding performance by Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and NP advocates in each state. Established in 1991, the State Award for Excellence is given to an NP in each state who demonstrates excellence in clinical practice. This year, Northern Counties Health Care’s (NCHC) Hardwick Area Health Center nurse, Jeri Wohlberg, receives the AANP State Award for Excellence for Vermont for excellence in clinical practice.

“Quality care is built day by day, and Jeri Wohlberg’s commitment to NCHC and the communities we serve is remarkable,” said Michael Costa, CEO of Northern Counties Health Care. “Jeri always provides excellent care to her patients, is a leader in our team and she has become our contact for answering clinical questions related to COVID. ” Costa added, “We are very proud to have Jeri representing Vermont in presenting this award.”
