DALLAS – () – ReadiVet, a leading provider of needs-based veterinary care at home for pets and their parents, is opening its second location in the DFW Metroplex, with additional locations in the works. The company also announces that it has raised $ 2.5 million in a Series A round led by Atlanta Seed Company, along with Martin Ventures, Jemison Capital, and others.

Funding follows the COVID pandemic when pet ownership hits an all-time high. ReadiVet will use the funding to hire new veterinarians, add locations and services, and continue to invest in its proprietary consumer-centric technology platform.

“In traditional veterinary care, there is a lack of focus on customer friendliness and experience. ReadiVet is working to delight every customer with more consumer-friendly options for veterinary care, ”said CEO and Founder Landon Lawson. “This includes making it easier to request and book appointments, dragging furry friends to and from appointments and repeating these steps for multiple visits, and providing a full suite of communication tools and interaction points that improve pet ownership. ReadiVet is proud to lead the initiative towards a more consumer-oriented model of veterinary care. ”

The company estimates that over 80% of grooming can be done at home, resulting in significantly less stress for pets and their owners. ReadiVet also streamlines the nursing experience for customers and empowers veterinarians to maintain clinical autonomy that is often overlooked in in-house clinics. Their model is based on veterinarians streamlining the workflow and making their lives easier to practice top notch medicine.

Lawson added, “ReadiVet also works tirelessly to take the steps necessary to improve veterinary practice for our vets, technicians, and everyone on the team. Our veterinary leadership was incredibly concerned about the what, when, where and why of care and was ready to challenge long-held beliefs about the practice of veterinary medicine. ”

“As pet ownership increases, especially among millennials, convenience and quality of care will continue to be a key differentiator for service providers in this industry. ReadiVet was designed from the ground up to provide its customers with the absolute best quality of care as conveniently as possible. As a new dog owner myself, I’m already counting the days until ReadiVet expands into my territory, “said Connor Davidson, partner at Atlanta Seed Company.

“ReadiVet is just getting started. We plan to accelerate growth by entering new markets quickly. ReadiVet tailors animal care needs in the best interests of the veterinarian, ”said Jordan Lipson, Principal at Martin Ventures. “The ReadiVet delivery model and veterinarians are fundamentally transforming veterinary medicine to provide higher quality, more convenient care.”

The company has two locations in Dallas, Texas with six veterinarians and plans to open four clinics over the next 12 months. “We look forward to introducing ReadiVet to additional markets and states in the coming months, and to having the opportunity to work with veterinarians who are interested in delivering an incredible experience without sacrificing their peace of mind,” said Lawson.

About ReadiVet

ReadiVet is a consumer direct veterinary practice that provides on-demand veterinary care services at home. ReadiVet enables pets to care for each other individually in the comfort of their home instead of enduring the stress of the traditional veterinary clinic. When pets are stressed, their care suffers. Fear often limits how fully they can be examined. With ReadiVet appointments, we spend time with every pet and pet parent, answering all of their questions and offering a quality of care that is not possible within the walls of a traditional inpatient clinic.
