TERRI: JAQUI GLUCKSMAN IS DIRECTOR OF CARE AT ALL HEALTH SERVICES IN WEST PALM BEACH. YOUR STAFF VISIT PATIENTS IN THEIR HOUSES TO DO EVERYTHING FOR THE BATHING PROCEDURE TO GIVE TRANSFUSIONS. >> WE ARE FRONT LINE WORKERS AND SHOULD BE TREATED THAT. TERRI: BUT JAQUI SAYS YOUR STAFF AND OTHER HOME HEALTH WORKERS ARE NOT IN THE PHASE OF A ROLL-OUT OF THE COVID-19 VACCINATIO IN PALM BEACH COUNTY >> WE ARE NOT INCLUDED. I made multiple phone calls to the health department, left multiple messages and never heard back. TERRI: FLORIDA OFFERS VACCINES FIRST FOR HEALTH WORKERS, RESIDENTS AND STAFF OF LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES AND SENIORS OVER 65. BUT WHO EXACTLY IS A FRONT LINE PWORKER? The CDC estimates that there are 21 MILLION HEALTH WORKERS in the US. WHO GETS PRIORITY? SOME MEDICAL OFFICES ALREADY HAVE THE VACCINE AND VACCINATING STAFF. We’ve sent emails and made calls to the health department of PALM BEACH COUNTY and a spokesman tells me they are researching the issue. NOW, HEALTH WORKERS LIKE JAQUI WONDER WHEN THEY ARE INCLUDED. >> WE WANT TO MAKE SURE OUR FIELD STAFF ARE SAFE AND THAT THEY DO NOT GET SICK, SO YOU CAN CARE FOR THIS VULNERABLE POPULATION AND THE VULNERABLE POPULATION WILL NOT GET SICK
