POSTING PHOTO – T2K Nutrition owner Heather Niedermann started her business from home less than a year ago. She will soon be opening a store selling Herbalife supplements.

Heather Niedermann’s health product business is growing rapidly.

Less than a year ago, she became a Herbalife dealer, selling Herbalife products from her home in Marshalltown. Herbalife is a multi-level marketing company that sells nutritional supplements such as meal replacement teas and shakes. Niedermann’s store, T2K Nutrition, is preparing to open a store. Niedermann has not disclosed the location of the store as nothing is official yet, but she said it was on the south side of Marshalltown. It aims to open in March.

“It’s a prime, perfect location. It will be very easily accessible and has a huge parking lot. “ She said. “As soon as the lease is signed, we will move from home to the club. It’s really exciting. “

Niedermann was introduced to the Herbalife nutritional program about six years ago when her mother brought her to Ignite Nutrition in Albert Lea, Minn.

“My mother drank the shakes. I was interested in seeing my mom’s results, how much weight she lost and how much better she was feeling. “ She said. “I was very overweight at the time and it fascinated me.”

She started taking advantage of the program and seeing positive results while keeping the idea of branching out and becoming a distributor herself.

Niedermann started T2K Nutrition in May 2020. She said she was a little skeptical of the idea, but her trainer’s success at Ignite Nutrition encouraged her to take the plunge.

“I saw Alicia and how she ran her club, the atmosphere and how happy everyone was” She said. “I imagined it, I would say, for five years.”

During the five years she considered starting the company. Niedermann waited for the timing to be right.

“In the past few years I have been given custody of my nephew, and that took a lot of time and energy.” She said. “I had to focus on him and get him to safety and be at home with us. I had to look after the family first and make sure the time was right for us as a family. “

Attracting T2K Nutrition started with a simple Facebook post where Niedermann announced what she was doing and shared some of her results with the products.

“I saw the need and the lack of it. I’ve grown tremendously now, even in the past month and a half. “ She said. “There’s a ride here in Marshalltown. The need here is for something healthier. “

At T2K Nutrition, Niedermann helps customers put together a nutrition program specially tailored to them. This helps people know how much water, protein, and calories to consume in order to achieve their goals.

After two weeks, customers come back to review their progress.

Since opening last spring, T2K Nutrition has been working from Niedermann and her husband Jamie at 310 Thomas Drive. It is open Monday through Saturday from 12 noon to 12.30 p.m. Then Niedermann has a lunch break from her full-time job as a meeting planner at Emerson. In the evenings she also gives individual lessons and fitness classes.

When the store opens, the opening hours will be extended. Niedermann will continue her full-time job, but she has four trainers under her who will run the store, including Jesse Hall, Cimber Miller and Anna Stringer. There are more coaches she trains to get into the business as well.

The next fitness class that T2K Nutrition is holding will be a seven day class starting Sunday February 1st.
