Lifestyle Physicians is launching its 6th Annual Weight Loss Challenge, a program that promotes weight loss through highly personalized health programs.
Participants will receive customized weight loss programs after undergoing an extensive physical exam, extensive laboratory work, metabolic rate tests, and an EKG.
The program is led by Dr. Sagar Verma, the only board certified specialist in obesity medicine in the Culpeper and Warrenton regions. Katie Barchas Wilson, Marketing Specialist for Lifestyle Physicians, noted that Verma got people off blood sugar medication and even cured some patients’ diabetes.
The variety of tests performed allows each weight loss solution to be individual. The lifestyle program includes either meal plans or meal replacements, HCG injections, lipo-tropical injections, B12 injections, weight loss IVs, and / or FDA-approved appetite suppressants.
January 16 is the last day on which you can register by calling 540-680-2426 or by visiting ifestylephysicians.com/. There is no registration fee and insurance is accepted. This year, the male and female winners will each receive a prize of $ 2,500.
“During this year’s quarantine, many people were able to either focus on losing weight or gain weight. The popular challenge is the perfect way to safely lose weight under medical supervision during the 8-week program, “says a press release from Lifestyle Physicians.
Wilson explained that weight loss programs should be specifically tailored to a person’s needs “because why I keep weight may be different than why you keep weight.” She said obesity can be caused by a variety of problems ranging from metabolism to emotional eating to thyroid problems.
“There’s no such thing as one size fits all … it’s really made for you, your needs, and your body from a doctor’s standpoint,” she said.
