WORCESTER. JOSH: HEALTH WORKERS HERE SAY THIS HAPPIEST DAY IS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF SOME MARCH. HAVE LOST LOVERS AND HOPE – AND THEY SAY THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF THE PANDEMIC. >> BRUSHED, BRUSHED. ABSOLUTELY BROUGHT. JOSH: WONDERFRAU RECEIVES A VACCINE. It will be a little pinch. JOSH: NOW MIRIAM ROGERS-MONTALVO, A HOSPITAL NURSE WITH VNA CARE IN WORCESTER, SAYS SHE KNOWS SHE CAN SEE YOUR PATIENTS AND FAMILIES WITHOUT WORRY. >> It will make me feel safer at home. BUT ALSO assure that I will not bring unwanted gifts to patient houses who are already immunocompromised. JOSH: THE IRONNESS IS THAT THESE HOME HEALTH CLINICS ARE SITTING IN A LARGE OPEN BUILDING WHEN THEY GET THEIR FIRST SHOT, WHEN THEY HAVE 11 MONTHS IN SMALL APARTMENTS AND HOUSES Often times they haven’t stopped working – and houses often help. >> THE RELATIONSHIP BEGINS TO INCREASE TO MORE COVID AGAINST NON-COVID PATIENTS. So they are very grateful that we are going in to help them. JOSH: This group is in Phase 1 in Massachusets. THEY HOPE TO BE SOON, BUT GRATEFULLY ALL THE SAME >> PERFECT. JOSH FOR THE 1000 EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS OF VNA CARE MAY BE A NEW AND EXCITING ASPECT TO END THIS CRISIS TODAY, BUT THEY HAVE PROVIDED CARE FOR PATIENTS SINCE 1886 MARIAM KNOWS SHE NEEDS TO VACCINATE WHAT I NEED CANNOT WHILE SERVING YOUR PATIENT. >> It is a physical message to her that I am taking all possible precautions. BUT ALSO WE FOLLOW THE STATE GUIDELINES. Even if I’ve had the vaccine, that doesn’t mean I’ll go on the show without a mask. JOSH: 150 workers are being vaccinated here today. YOU HAVE FIVE CLINICS.
