COLUMBUS, Ohio – Personal trainers saw some clients thrive using Zoom Fitness during the COVID era.
In March 2020, many coaches had to get creative to keep their businesses going while gyms were closed due to the pandemic closure.
Stephanie Hohn said she started building her garage gym in her home years before the pandemic, and started clients who wanted to comfortably use the space in their home.
Since many did not want to take the risk, she opted for Zoom group fitness workouts, individual training and meal preparation via the online platform.
“Some of my clients enjoyed it more and they actually felt like they had a harder workout in their house and I’m not sure if any part of that has to do with maybe being in a public area other eyes on them and there are other stressors. But when you are at home you feel more comfortable and can exert yourself harder, ”said Hohn.
The trainer meets with clients to understand what items are in their vicinity to create a workout. Scorn said stairs and rocks are easy to use and bodyweight training can make a world of difference.
When it comes to going back to the gym, Hohn says that there are some customers who take much longer than others, and that decision depends on the gym and the customer’s level of comfort.
As for her clients, she said that some of them are having great success and the reason may be because of studying health patterns and behaviors at home.
“There are people there, there we live, there we find out how we work every day. How will we eat The refrigerator is right next to you all the time. How can you change these behaviors so that you can be successful? “Said scorn.
